Kraft Paper….the cheapest inkjet paper yet…

KIMG0370webOne of the materials I like to work with is Kraft paper. I have used it in the past for book covers and I have also printed on it with my Epson R3000. Made the above pinhole print the other day and was really pleased with it. We needed something over our bed so I decided to print a 7 foot cloud/sea landscape on Kraft paper and pin it up on the wall behind the bed. It brings the whole room together:

  1. Very nice landscape idea, the look..I’d like to see it behind non reflective glass as well…

    • Thanks Roger! Kind of a funky look. Actually the way I like it best is mounted on a piece of Masonite or plywood and then coated with thinned out coats of acrylic polyurethane . I have done that a few times. The pièce de résistance is a putting H shaped pieces of wood strips on the back from which to hang the piece and keeping it an inch or so off the wall.

Very creative idea. Mixing new technology with older forms produces unique hybrids and opens up possibilities.
