“Towering Pines…”

20141103_6858panoweb…out by Tiger Island this morning. I stopped my bike ride [10 miles against a cold strong NE wind & 10 miles with a fantastic tail wind] long enough to make this photo. What saved me was my Polartec vest that had arrived in the mail on Saturday. I love that stuff. In cold weather it is light and warm, and in warm/hot weather it is just right to carry and wear inside that cold restaurant or movie theater. The color of  this one is generously called Classic Orange Heather. It looks like crap on me, I look like death warmed over, however it is really visible on the highway, and worn over my high vis bicycling jersey I don’t get ‘lost in the crowd.’

  1. The pines look magnificent. I’ll be wearing my winter woollies next time I’m out on the fells!
