    Is that boat a design that’s specific to the area? I know that many locales produce boats adapted to their specific local needs and commerce. In the past you’ve shown the boats that they just pull out of the water and use to deliver the clams right off the trailer.

    • Hi Dave – yes, the boat is specific for these waters, but I am sure you will see them in other parts – of Florida anyhow. They are called bird-dogs and are distinguished by outboard being up forward, with a tunnel in the bottom of the boat for the propeller. In addition, ever since claming came in, they’ve cut the transom out to allow for ease of hauling the clam bags on board.
