I have been a fan and follower of Rodney Smith’s work for years. I love his photographs, and most of all I loved his approach to making his photos. As I understand it, he was known for showing up for an assignment with a 35mm camera in his hand and some rolls of film stuck into his pockets. Along with David Byrne’s journal his blog to me is the most intelligent and cerebral writing out there. If this kind of thing interests you, I recommend a trip over to his blog.
