“Yellow Stripes…Yellow Boat…”

20131126_4617nikcweb I could not resist making this exposure this morning. It is on the road onto the island, just by # 4. Taken as a body of work I usually sneer at the ‘dead pan’ category of photography. Well, here I am making and posting a ‘dead pan’ photo. It appeals to me. For one thing its many elements, the boat, the truck,  the race way, the high water almost coming across the road, the sky, the palm trees, the clam bags in the grass, they all combine, in their own shorthand, in giving a very fine and accurate description of what this group of small islands is all about.
