“William Eggleston Photographer…”

Although generally I can’t get very excited about Eggleston’s work, he is an important part of the history of photography and so I think this not too old [2008] video of him at work addresses an important chapter in American and especially Southern [US] photography.

  1. I often wonder why I like Eggleston.

    • Well, despite of what I said in the post, I do like a lot of his work. I just don’t see him as the seminal southern color photographer. On the whole photographers like Christenberry and Birney Imes have, to my mind, produced much more powerful work.
