“Silver Beach…”

I have no idea as to why this is called “Silver Beach.” I don’t even know if it still called that. I think of it as ‘Rick’s compound.’ It’s on the way to downtown, and I walk by it most every day. Rick used to have his wooden bird-dog parked where the air-boat is now. It must have been one of the last wooden ones around – I loved seeing that boat. Will have to ask Rick what happened to it. It is not often that I include air-boats in my photos. I hate them. However I have no trouble tolerating them if they are used by commercial watermen who need the boat’s shallow draft to get where they are going.
