“Don’t Do This…”

Untitled-1 Sometimes I “don’t have the brain God gave a chicken!” I have done this before, but for some reason it never registered. When working on my Cyanotype prints I apply the sensitizer on our table, out in the living area. I then take the coated sheets of paper and place them in our studio closet to dry.  The closet is cluttered with …. everything. There is no even surface, so I slide them in wherever there is a bit of space. Well, the really strange thing with Cyanotype coated paper is that it CAN pick up the shape of objects underneath it, as it is drying. The objects can range from the rather insignificant unevenness of a surface to the outline of such things as paint brushes, rolls of tape, or little boxes.

That is what happened here. If you look closely you can see the light outline of a small box in the image – ruining it.

[Thanks to my friend Captain Diana for inviting  me to come along on one of her adventure tours!]
