Yesterday I received an e-mail from Nancy McCrary, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the South x Southeast Photo Magazine, letting me know that they will definitely want some of my work, including several of my Cyanotype prints, for their March/April issue. So, now I am putting the finishing touches on those files, and getting all the other supporting material together. I am always surprised by how disorganized I am when it comes to that kind of thing. You would think I had all this stuff together and ready to go, but it is always a struggle finding the correct files, sizing them to the requested specifications, adding the required captions, writing an artist statement, and getting my bio updated…….Well, this kind of thing is good for my moral, and gets me motivated to do ‘stuff.’
So, I will be doing that this weekend, and probably not get around to posting any new stuff.
Good news. It’ll be good to have some of your work published. I doubt I’ll be getting a copy of SXSE magazine, but I hope they do a good job.
Thanks Roger – yes, I am looking forward to it and will use it as a ‘vehicle’ to submit some further queries. Well, the mag is on-line and by subscription only – I don’t even have one!!! :)
Congrats! Very exciting.
