Rick’s boats
August 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Walking from my house to the Post Office in Cedar Key, I pass by Rick’s place. Often his old bird-dog boat is there, and if I have a camera with me I usually take a picture. If I am early enough the rising sun filters through the Spanish moss, and capturing that light and the feeling of the early morning atmosphere always presents a challenge. I have gotten some pretty good photos, but I am not convinced that there isn’t a better one still waiting for me.

WaterWoman @ the Jiffy

The ‘new Jiffy’ in Cedar Key, Florida. Although it is close to thirty years old, it is still referred to as the new Jiffy, to distinguish it from the ‘old’ Jiffy, which is downtown, next to the Post Office.
